This model program targets at-risk families that have been reported to the abuse registry or have come to the attention of the Broward Sheriff’s Office, ChildNet, the Broward County Schools or other community agencies. These families are in need of immediate services to reduce family dysfunction and prevent child abuse and the possible removal of children from their homes. This program also assists in reunification of children with their families.

Services within this program include:

• KID F.I.R.S.T. (KID Family Intervention,
  Response, and Support Team)
• Domestic Violence Services (in
  partnership with the Glass House)
• Parenting Services (in partnership
  with the Broward Mental Health
  Association)
• Substance Abuse Services (in
  partnership with the Broward County
  Addiction and Recovery Center—BARC)
• Legal Aid
